Explosion-proof measures: Load retention without power! Inline reducers, winches, jacks.
Self-locking winches, rack jacks, and reducers require no brakes. Ideal for work in locations without power! Lightweight and compact with multiple applications!
We have developed numerous applied products featuring a unique load-holding function with a reduction mechanism (shoji-lock), which have been well received by our customers. <Features of Shoji-Lock Products> - When rotation is applied from the input side, the output side decelerates and transmits power, but rotation is not possible from the output side = self-locking function. This means that no brake is needed, and loads can be held at the desired position. - Compared to worm reduction gears with the same self-locking function, our products are highly efficient. Additionally, while worms have input and output axes that are orthogonal, our input and output shafts are aligned in a straight line (in-line), making them significantly more compact and space-saving, as well as lightweight. - Unlike ratchets or one-way clutches, loads can be held at any position when motion is stopped, regardless of the direction of rotation. Furthermore, there is no ratchet noise, making them suitable for use in quiet environments. - Basic sealed structure (IP65) for maintenance-free operation. - We offer a variety of applied products, including reduction gears that utilize this self-locking mechanism, winches, and linear actuators (rack jacks). - Stainless steel versions are also available for each model, suitable for clean room applications. *For more details, please feel free to contact us.

Applications/Examples of results
Achievements / Semiconductor-related, vacuum equipment manufacturers, food machinery, automotive factories, plant-related, various machinery manufacturers (mixing and powder), furnace-related, nuclear power generation-related, etc. "shoji-lock" that stops movement An absolute stop that holds the load at the desired position We assist with this fundamental action of not only transmitting power but also wanting to hold the load. On land... automotive manufacturing lines, solar panel manufacturing lines, nuclear power plants At sea... control panel opening and closing for ship steering rooms, for underwater survey retrieval, for raising and lowering the roofs of houseboats In the air... for maritime rescue, for power line repair work, for high-rise building cleaning gondolas It is adopted in various situations and for various applications. Ideal for disaster situations without power, explosion-proof measures, and energy-saving measures. In particular, in the semiconductor sector, many stainless steel and aluminum products designed for clean rooms are adopted. For more details, please refer to the case studies and our website.

SLW Series For SLW 100kg: A specification that combines our winch and rack jack. The rack rod rises and falls by 11.5mm per rotation, and of course, it holds the load even when the operation stops. Compact and versatile! A version for 300kg is also available.
-
SRM Series As shown in the image, it is used in tilting and inversion devices. It holds the load when tilted (self-locking) and is very compact, which has received positive feedback.

Special Product Case 1 We handle a large number of all-stainless steel products designed for clean rooms, such as those used in semiconductors, medical devices, and food machinery, as well as in marine and oceanic fields. The photo shows an electric tool winch mounted inside a seabed survey buoy. The input shaft is hexagonal, allowing it to be driven with commercially available sockets. By attaching a dedicated manual speed increaser on the opposite side of the input shaft, it becomes a hybrid type that can be quickly wound manually.
-
Case Study 2 of Special Products Even with inexpensive induction motors, there are many cases where they can self-lock without the need for brakes, or are used in combination with brake-equipped motors for double safety. The photo shows an aluminum construction (A7075, black anodized treatment) for weight reduction and rust prevention.
-
Special Product Case 3 Achievements with a semiconductor equipment manufacturer. It is possible to manufacture a specification where a belt is used to lift the load instead of a wire, made entirely of aluminum (A7075), as shown in the photo.
-
Special Product Case 4 Medical-related achievements. This type uses fine strings to lift the load instead of wires. The photo shows a steel product treated with electroless nickel, which can be finished more cheaply than all stainless steel or aluminum.
-
Special Product Case 5 Our lineup includes the SRM-005-11, a compact inline reducer made entirely of stainless steel. The input and output shafts are neither orthogonal nor offset; they are aligned in a straight line, yet it self-locks, making it very compact. It is particularly suitable for tilting devices and similar applications.
-
Special Product Example 6 We have added guide rods to our lineup SLM-050-4.0 small rack jack, creating a twin shaft to address issues such as buckling. As shown in the photo, flanges can also be attached and manufactured at both ends. Please compare it to a cigarette. It is very compact.
-
Special Product Case 7 The SLM-D type, which responds to the request to "raise and lower two rack rods simultaneously" in the SLM series. By connecting two rack jacks with a connecting pipe, it is possible to synchronize the two rack rods. Of course, it comes with a load-holding function, and a quite compact design is achievable.

The load-holding function equipped reduction mechanism (shoji-lock) has been developed for application products such as winches and rack jacks since the early 2000s. Steady sales activities have borne fruit, and it has begun to be adopted for various applications. Unlike conventional worm reduction gears with self-locking functions where the input and output shafts are orthogonal, our design features them in a straight line (inline), allowing for a compact design and space-saving, which has received high praise and resulted in a diverse range of practical examples. (Patents have been obtained in Japan, the United States, the EU (Germany, France, the UK), China, South Korea, and Taiwan.) Furthermore, starting in April 2023, we launched a new overseas parts procurement business, beginning with Vietnam. Currently, a majority of our parts are procured overseas, and leveraging our achievements and network, we aim to assist companies struggling with cost reduction in parts procurement.
