Winches, rack jacks, and reducers that self-lock without brakes are widely adopted in semiconductor devices, with the key factors being lightweight, compact design, and space-saving!
We have developed a number of applied products featuring a unique load-holding function with a reduction mechanism (Shoji-lock), which have been well received by our customers. <Shoji-lock Product Features> - When rotation is applied from the input side, the output side decelerates and transmits power, but rotation is not possible from the output side = self-locking function. This means that it can hold a load at the desired position without the need for a brake. - Compared to worm reduction gears with the same self-locking function, it is highly efficient. Additionally, while worms have input and output axes that are orthogonal, our design has the input and output shafts aligned in a straight line (in-line), making it considerably more compact and space-saving, as well as lightweight. - Unlike ratchets or one-way clutches, it can hold a load at any position where movement is stopped, regardless of the direction of rotation. Furthermore, there is no ratchet noise, making it suitable for use in quiet environments. - It has a basic sealed structure (IP65) and is maintenance-free. - We offer a variety of applied products, including reduction gears that utilize this self-locking mechanism, winches, and linear actuators (rack jacks). - Stainless steel versions are also available for each model, suitable for clean room applications. *For more details, please feel free to contact us.

Achievements / Semiconductor-related, vacuum equipment manufacturers, food machinery, automotive factories, plant-related, various machinery manufacturers (mixing and powder), furnace-related, nuclear power-related, ship and marine-related, defense and military-related, conveying equipment, construction and housing-related, etc. "shoji-lock" that stops movement We assist in this fundamental action of not only transmitting power but also wanting to hold a load. On land... automotive manufacturing lines, semiconductor manufacturing equipment, plant-related, etc. At sea... for opening and closing ship gates, for raising underwater survey equipment, for raising and lowering the roofs of houseboats, etc. In the air... for high-altitude work equipment, for power line repair work, for industrial unmanned aerial vehicles, etc. It is adopted in various situations for various purposes. In particular, stainless steel products are widely used in semiconductor-related applications. For more details, please refer to our case studies and website.

SLW Series SLW for 100 kg: A specification that combines our winch and rack jack. The rack rod rises and falls by 11.5 mm per rotation, and of course, it holds the load even when the operation is stopped. Compact and versatile! A version for 300 kg is also available.
-
SRM Series As shown in the image, it is used in tilting and reversing devices. It holds the load in place (self-locking) when tilted, and is very compact, which has received positive feedback.

Special Product Case 1 We handle a large number of all-stainless steel products designed for clean rooms, such as those used in semiconductors, medical devices, and food machinery, as well as in marine and oceanic fields. The photo shows an electric tool winch mounted inside a seabed survey buoy. The input shaft is hexagonal, allowing it to be driven with commercially available sockets. By attaching a dedicated manual speed increaser on the opposite side of the input shaft, it becomes a hybrid type that can be quickly wound manually.
-
Case Study 2 of Special Products Even with inexpensive induction motors, there are many cases where they can self-lock without the need for brakes, or are used in combination with motors that have brakes for double safety. The photo shows an aluminum construction (A7075, black anodized treatment) for weight reduction and rust prevention.
-
Case Study 3 of Special Products Achievements with a semiconductor equipment manufacturer. It is possible to manufacture a specification where a belt is used to lift the load instead of a wire, made entirely of aluminum (A7075), as shown in the photo.
-
Special Product Case 4 Medical-related achievements. This type uses fine strings to lift loads instead of wires. The photo shows a steel product treated with electroless nickel, which can be finished at a lower cost than all stainless steel or aluminum.
-
Special Product Case 5 Our lineup includes the SRM-005-11, a compact inline reducer made entirely of stainless steel. The input and output shafts are neither orthogonal nor offset; they are aligned in a straight line, yet it self-locks, making it very compact. It is particularly suitable for tilting devices and similar applications.
-
Special Product Case 6 We have added guide rods to our lineup SLM-050-4.0 small rack jack, making it a twin shaft to address issues such as buckling. As shown in the photo, flanges can also be attached and manufactured at both ends. Please compare it to a cigarette. It is very compact.
-
Special Product Case 7 The SLM-D type, which responds to the request to "raise and lower two rack rods simultaneously" in the SLM series. By connecting two rack jacks with a connecting pipe, it is possible to synchronize the two rack rods. Of course, it comes with a load-holding function and allows for a quite compact design.

The load-holding function equipped reduction mechanism (shoji-lock) has been developed for application products such as winches and rack jacks since the early 2000s. Steady sales activities have borne fruit, and it has begun to be adopted for various applications. Unlike conventional worm reduction gears with self-locking functions where the input and output shafts are orthogonal, our design features them in a straight line (inline), allowing for a compact design and space-saving, which has received high praise and resulted in a diverse range of practical examples. (Patents have been obtained in Japan, the United States, the EU (Germany, France, the UK), China, South Korea, and Taiwan.) Furthermore, starting in April 2023, we launched a new overseas parts procurement business, beginning with Vietnam. Currently, a majority of our parts are procured overseas, and leveraging our achievements and network, we aim to assist companies struggling with cost reduction in parts procurement.
