It is an optical filter that selectively transmits ultraviolet wavelengths (255 nm) while blocking light of other wavelengths (using a substrate from Gohsui Seiko Glass).
Applications in the ultraviolet region are on the rise. At Itsuki Seiko Glass, we have developed filter glass substrates in the IHU series that have a transmission limit wavelength in the ultraviolet range and improved weather resistance to ultraviolet light. Recently, we have successfully deposited dielectric multilayer films to create bandpass filters in the ultraviolet region, as shown in the chart (measured data).
