[Seminar] Kansai Electric Power Co., Inc.: Current Status, Challenges, and Future Developments of Hydropower Generation Business

We will hold a seminar titled "Kansai Electric Power: Current Status, Challenges, and Future Developments of Hydropower Generation." Hydropower, which has a long history, is an important power source as a renewable energy that utilizes the natural blessing of water, excelling in supply stability, economic efficiency, and environmental sustainability, as well as contributing to energy security. As we move towards realizing a carbon-neutral society by 2050, the importance of existing hydropower facilities is increasing. However, many hydropower plants are located in mountainous and remote areas, facing challenges such as the proper maintenance and operation of aging facilities, securing personnel for the business, and adapting to diverse working styles.
