An example where the precision of time control within the PLC program has increased, leading to improved stability of equipment operation.
We would like to introduce a case where we synchronized the time of a sequencer and touch panel that were not connected to the internet. The sequencer and touch panel were not connected to the internet, resulting in a time drift of about 15 seconds each month, making it difficult to investigate the causes of errors when they occurred. To address this, we used the time setting function between the SNTP server and client. This made the alarm history chronological and allowed for quicker cause investigation. [Challenges] ■ The sequencer and touch panel were not connected to the internet, causing a time drift of about 15 seconds each month. ■ It was difficult to investigate the causes of errors when they occurred. ■ Manually correcting the time was cumbersome, so we wanted to automate the synchronization of the time for the sequencer and touch panel. *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.
