Contec has been contributing to the development of industrial use of PCs since 1982, when it launched its interface boards necessary for building PC-based measurement and control systems, with the catchphrase "Bringing the Ease of PCs to FA." The company has continued to innovate and adapt to expanding buses and operating systems. In April 2021, it developed the "CPI Series," a HAT-sized board for signal input and output compatible with the Raspberry Pi, which is the global standard for board computers. This series leverages the high cost performance and customization capabilities of the Raspberry Pi for applications in the measurement and control field. The product is a compact embedded PLC based on our original board computer using the latest embedded module CM4 from Raspberry Pi, and it implements the world's most widely used software PLC, "CODESYS." Utilizing our extensive asset of peripherals for Raspberry Pi, including the "CPI Series," users can build various control applications using the IEC 61131-3 compliant world standard PLC language.

This ensures high compatibility with Raspberry Pi. It guarantees the reliability and environmental resistance essential for industrial controllers. Designed for a wide temperature range of -20 to 60°C (airflow 0.7ms). It incorporates our well-established RTC/RAS board for Raspberry Pi (CPI-RAS), providing watchdog timer (WDT) and real-time clock (RTC) functions. Equipped with a high-output, high-efficiency power circuit and a noise filter to eliminate external noise, it generates clean 5VDC to supply the internal circuits.
