The basic principle is to detect the heat generated when the gas comes into contact with the sensor element and burns, and convert this into gas concentration. Measuring gas concentration is achieved by using electrical reactions to understand "how many molecules are present in the gas?" The concentration is measured through the following mechanism: 1. A catalyst that reacts with combustible gas is applied to a heating coil, which is kept at a temperature conducive to combustion. 2. When the gas comes into contact with the element, the temperature rises according to the gas concentration. 3. The electrical resistance of the coil changes in response to the temperature change. Since there is a correlation between this electrical resistance and gas concentration, the concentration of the gas can be determined.
