[Spring Application Example] Steelmaking Equipment Bow-Shaped Leaf Spring

Significant improvements with just one spring on existing equipment! A case of designing a spring that fits in a limited space.

We would like to introduce a case in which a steel manufacturer requested the use of springs in a new device to be installed on equipment that holds flat steel materials. After manufacturing the springs and conducting load tests, we found that the load was stronger than the calculated value and exceeded the required specifications. The cause was that both ends were fixed with bolts, which resulted in an increased load. Using three springs in parallel was too strong, so we reduced the number of parallel springs and conducted the test again.
