Case Study of Passive Air Conditioning: A House Overlooking the Mountains and Sea of the Izu Peninsula
To run electric vehicles using self-generated power, we have introduced power generation and storage facilities, which also serve as a preparation for disasters.
We would like to introduce a case where PassivAircon was implemented as a supplementary heat source during cloudy or rainy weather, alongside OM Solar, which utilizes solar heat directly, in a house that overlooks the mountains and sea of the Izu Peninsula. Solar power generation and storage batteries are selected based on the requests of the residents themselves. This home allows for the enjoyment of stunning views of the Izu mountains and the distant horizon throughout the changing seasons. 【Construction Overview】 ■ Location: Kawazu Town, Kamo District, Shizuoka Prefecture ■ Site Area: 541.95 m² ■ Building Area: 217.56 m² ■ Total Floor Area: 241.36 m² ■ Building Description: Two-story wooden structure using traditional construction methods *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

Company information
In addition to realizing a comfortable living environment, we contribute to a significant reduction in CO2 emissions by using solar energy to cover heating and hot water, which account for more than half of household energy consumption. Over the past 20 years, OM Solar has been adopted in over 20,000 homes and various facilities that have become assets to local communities across the country. Together with member construction companies nationwide, we take pride in being pioneers of passive solar architecture and will continue to strive for the further promotion of solar energy utilization.
