For influenza prevention, it can be said that maintaining the indoor temperature at 22°C and humidity at 50% is appropriate.
On this page, we present a table showing the relationship between the influenza virus and temperature and humidity. In the table, the survival rate of the influenza virus at 22°C and 20% humidity reaches as high as 66%. This is almost unchanged from 10°C and 20%. However, when using a humidifier indoors at 22°C to raise the humidity to 50%, the survival rate of the influenza virus dramatically decreases to 4%, making it very effective. For influenza prevention, it can be said that maintaining an indoor environment at 22°C and 50% humidity is appropriate. *For more details, you can view the related links.
