Achieving high-speed drilling and small corner radius using femtosecond laser and 5-axis galvanometer!
We would like to introduce the "Ultra-Precision Drilling Machine" handled by Kataoka Manufacturing Co., Ltd. Equipped with a 5-axis galvanometer, it highly controls the beam position (X, Y), irradiation angle (θx, θy), and focus (Z). The ultra-short pulse laser with a pulse width of less than 500 fs completes the removal before heat diffuses into the workpiece, enabling processing with minimal thermal impact. With a high repetition frequency, it achieves excellent productivity, reduces processing time, and allows for smaller corner radii. 【Device Information】 ■ Processing time per hole: 8.6 seconds/hole ⇒ 2.1 seconds/hole ■ Reduction of corner radius: Corner R: 5μm ⇒ 3μm ■ Stable processing even for long durations and large quantities ・ Processing position accuracy: ±3μm or less ・ Hole size accuracy: ±2μm or less *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.
