Equipped with an accurate tracking system and a state-of-the-art camera system, it enables the recording of high-quality, high-precision point cloud data! Suitable for both indoor and outdoor use! What is SLAM? In recent years, there has been development in real-time spatial awareness methods utilizing SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping) technology. *SLAM technology is a computational method that simultaneously creates a map of the surrounding environment recognized by sensors and estimates its own position. The SLAM technology, which provides location information of the movement path without using GNSS positioning, not only enables indoor mapping in spaces like indoors and underground but can also be utilized in outdoor surveying. The Z+F FlexScan22 combines the advantages of ground-based scanners with the efficiency of mobile systems, allowing mobile mapping in locations where GPS cannot be used, including indoors, thanks to the adoption of SLAM technology.

FlexScan22 improves data acquisition efficiency and enhances self-position estimation accuracy by rotating a high-precision scanner in two directions. As a result, it enables the recording of high-quality and high-precision point cloud data, which was difficult with conventional mobile mapping methods. With the extremely high point cloud quality (low range noise) and large measurement range of the stationary high-end scanner IMAGER 5016, FlexScan22 achieves high accuracy in SLAM results. Each profile scanned with FlexScan22 can record 10,000 points of point cloud data, ensuring detailed reproduction of 3D models. In cases where even higher accuracy is required, SLAM data can be supplemented by adding control points or stationary scans.
