Achieving complete automation by combining automatic measurement and dimension correction with a fixed-size device!
We would like to introduce a case study on the implementation of an "unmanned driving system for ring-shaped workpieces." Before the implementation, a significant amount of time was required for precision adjustments of guides and ring feeders during setup when changing model numbers. In the continuous grinding process, two operators were constantly engaged with each machine. By introducing off-machine setup and an infeed mechanism, we eliminated adjustment tasks, significantly reduced setup time, and decreased manual work time to about one-tenth, while increasing unmanned operation time by approximately four times. 【Case Overview】 ■ Issues - Setup takes a long time when changing model numbers - Continuous grinding requires two operators ■ Implementation Effects - By adding measurements such as end face runout and roughness, we can simultaneously evaluate precision beyond just outer diameter dimensions. *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.
