[Apparel Industry Case Study] Automation of Packaging Achieves Labor Reduction with Fewer Personnel

■ Customer's Issues and Concerns - Apparel products arrive folded and packaged from overseas and are stored in a logistics warehouse. Customers can place orders on the e-commerce site and choose to pick them up at the store. - For products picked up at the store, we want to do secondary packaging with an A4 sheet containing a barcode. - The products in question vary in size, but due to layout issues in the factory, we do not want to use large packaging machines. Therefore, items that cannot fit into the packaging machine will continue to be packaged by hand. - Currently, we are using two semi-automatic vertical packaging machines with rolls of film that have open ends. Even though the products are small, they are finished in bags of a certain size, and each item needs to be processed manually, which is cumbersome. - To prevent the excess bag material from getting caught in the sorter that automates sorting by scanning barcodes, it is necessary to secure it with tape by hand, and we want to reduce that process. ↓ For more details, please refer to the "Related Links" below ↓
