We would like to introduce a case where we participated in the project regarding the establishment of the Global Parts Center at DMG Mori Seiki Co., Ltd.'s Iga plant from the engineering perspective. On the hardware side, we adopted separate storage by packaging and three-dimensional storage using automated warehouses, improving the volume ratio by approximately 1.5 times. Additionally, we implemented four types of automated warehouses to achieve suitable storage and inbound/outbound operations based on the size and characteristics of the parts. On the software side, we introduced the Toyota Comprehensive Logistics Management System (Toyota WMS). By providing optimal picking routes, even inexperienced staff can perform efficient inbound and outbound operations, leading to a reduction in shipping lead times.
