POCAN is based on PBT chemistry and is available in unreinforced, glass-fiber-reinforced (typically GF10–30%), flame-retardant, hydrolysis-resistant, and weather-resistant grades. Its low moisture absorption results in excellent dimensional stability and minimal property variation over time. Mechanically, POCAN offers balanced tensile strength and flexural stiffness. Glass-fiber-reinforced grades provide enhanced rigidity and creep resistance, supporting stable performance in fastening and snap-fit designs. Thermally, POCAN has a melting point of approximately 225 °C and suitable heat deflection temperatures for automotive and electrical applications. It also exhibits good resistance to thermal aging and temperature cycling. From an environmental standpoint, POCAN shows good resistance to oils, fuels, coolants, cleaning agents, and various chemicals. Hydrolysis-resistant grades maintain stable properties even under high-temperature and high-humidity conditions. POCAN also provides excellent electrical insulation and tracking resistance, with UL94 V-0 flame-retardant grades available. Its good injection-molding processability ensures stable appearance, dimensional accuracy, and consistent quality in mass production.
