Visualize customer behavior in stores and support optimal sales strategies!
In the retail industry, it is important to understand customer behavior patterns and link them to increased sales. In particular, accurately grasping the flow of people within the store and their dwell times is essential for optimizing product placement and developing effective promotional strategies. Traditional camera-based analysis has faced challenges such as privacy issues and difficulties in obtaining accurate data due to blind spots. Our 79GHz millimeter-wave radar sensor unit addresses these challenges and enables the acquisition of high-precision customer behavior data. 【Usage Scenarios】 - Analysis of customer flow within the store - Measurement of dwell time at specific product shelves - Counting the number of people entering and exiting - Visualization of congestion levels - Estimation of customer demographics (such as age groups) 【Benefits of Implementation】 - Contributes to increased sales - Enhances customer satisfaction - Improves store operation efficiency - Reduces employee burden - Maximizes cost-effectiveness

Sakura Tech has been developing imaging sensors and high-performance microwave/millimeter-wave components using ultra-wideband technology since its founding in October 2008. In particular, we developed a compact and high-performance radar platform (miRadar(R)8) using Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) technology, which has been commercialized as an obstacle monitoring radar. Using the same radar platform, we developed an algorithm capable of simultaneously measuring the vital signs (heart rate, respiration) of multiple individuals, and we have been the first in the world to sell evaluation kits, receiving positive feedback from many manufacturers. Radio wave sensors have become essential in the fields of autonomous driving sensors, security aiming for a safe and secure society, and monitoring the elderly in the IoT society. Moving forward, Sakura Tech will continue to provide and contribute to society with human-friendly, high-performance sensors that utilize radio waves.
