The guidelines for providing waste information have been revised to the third edition.
Due to the revision of the Waste Management and Public Cleansing Law, the obligation to provide information on Type 1 designated chemical substances to waste generators will be enforced starting January 1, 2026. In preparation for this enforcement, the "Guidelines for Providing Waste Information" are scheduled to be revised to the third edition, and this has been confirmed on the Ministry of the Environment's website. In addition to changes to the WDS format in response to the legal revision, there are also modifications and additions to the guidelines themselves, reflecting changes from previous concepts. We have published a preliminary and brief explanation of these changes in our company’s website column. Main revisions to the guidelines: 1. Addition of content regarding the amendments to the enforcement regulations. 2. Emphasis on the importance of two-way communication between waste generators and waste treatment operators in information transmission. 3. Revision of the WDS format. Looking at aspects unrelated to the legal revisions, there is an intention to ensure safety at disposal sites and prevent accidents, rather than merely providing one-sided information. If anyone is having trouble creating WDS documents, please feel free to consult with our company.
