This case study presents the introduction of a laser engraving device by a company highly regarded in the field of pump technology for the marine industry. To directly engrave on large components manufactured in-house, a custom-spec XXL laser engraving device was implemented. In addition to accommodating large workpieces, it is also utilized for the production of approximately 8,000 manufacturer plates engraved with serial numbers and logos. The device configuration, featuring X-axis head movement and dual-side opening doors, achieves a balance between work efficiency and engraving quality. <Implementation Effects> ■ Direct laser engraving on large steel and stainless steel components is possible. ■ A single device can broadly handle everything from the component itself to the manufacturer plate. ■ High identification is ensured through serial number and logo engraving.
