From actual machine evaluation to abnormal system testing. CCID evaluation equipment supporting EV AC normal charging development.
The charging CCID evaluation device is an evaluation tool designed for the assessment and verification of AC charging systems for EVs/PHVs. It can simulate the actual operation of a CCID (Charging Circuit Interrupter Device) while allowing arbitrary changes to the voltage, duty, frequency, and sequence time of the CPLT signal. This enables efficient operation confirmation and abnormal condition evaluation of the charging control system, making it suitable for use in the development and evaluation of EV vehicles. It supports Type 1, Type 2, and GB/T standards, and allows for easy construction of testing environments that are difficult to reproduce in actual devices, such as changing PISW resistance values, simulating ground faults and OPEN states, and forced control of AC relays. It can be utilized as an evaluation environment in the development of onboard chargers (OBC), ECUs, and EVSE (chargers), contributing to early detection of issues and quality improvement from the initial stages of development. Additionally, it can log three-phase/single-phase voltage and current data during charging, which can be used for the collection and analysis of evaluation data. It enables the establishment of an efficient verification environment without the need for constant preparation of actual vehicles or charging infrastructure. This high-functionality evaluation tool supports the reduction of evaluation man-hours and quality improvement in the development of EV charging systems.

Applications/Examples of results
In the development of AC normal charging for EV and PHEV vehicles, the following evaluations are possible: 1) By connecting the customer's AC power supply to our power input cable, charging evaluations can be conducted at any AC voltage. 2) By attaching various charging plugs of optional standards such as Type 1, Type 2, and GB/T, charging evaluations can be conducted. 3) This device allows for arbitrary changes to CLPT frequency, CPLT voltage, CPLT duty, and CP resistance values, enabling the confirmation of vehicle behavior not only in normal conditions but also at the upper limits of standards and outside standard conditions. 4) The device can simulate a disconnection of the PE line, allowing for the observation of vehicle behavior during abnormal conditions. 5) AC voltage can be logged, and PI voltage and CP voltage can be measured by the device, which can be used for troubleshooting issues between the CCID and the vehicle.
