For the realization of a sustainable society.
1. What "Bottle to Bottle" Means In conventional PET bottle recycling, while it was possible to produce raw materials for packaging and textiles, it was not possible to create raw materials for PET bottles. The "Bottle to Bottle" business of our group company FIGP has achieved horizontal recycling that generates PET bottle raw materials from PET bottles. This has successfully reduced CO2 emissions compared to producing PET bottles from petroleum-derived raw materials. 2. CO2 Emission Reduction Effects of "Bottle to Bottle" Typically, when producing 1 kg of PET resin from petroleum, approximately 1.578 kg of CO₂ is emitted. In contrast, the "mechanical recycling" method allows for a CO₂ emission of about 0.524 kg when producing the same amount of PET resin, achieving a reduction of 67%. By promoting "Bottle to Bottle," FEJP realizes an annual reduction of over 200,000 tons of CO₂ emissions. This is equivalent to the annual CO₂ emissions of about 150,000 cars or approximately 80,000 households. "Bottle to Bottle" significantly reduces environmental impact and contributes to the realization of sustainable resource circulation.
