Rapid Microbiological Method (RMM) by Imaging
CFU (Colony Forming Unit) Measurement for Quality Control and Safety Inspection ○ Overwhelming Speed: The testing that traditionally took 3 days for results has been dramatically shortened to 3-4 hours (initial detection) and 6-10 hours (final concentration confirmation). ○ High-Precision Scanning Technology: Utilizing a high-resolution 3D optical scanning system, it can detect colonies as small as 8 µm in diameter. ○ No Change to On-Site Operations: Traditional culture temperatures, liquid volumes, and media can be used as is. It is very easy to correlate with official methods since microorganisms are detected and counted as CFUs while still alive, and identification of the bacteria after detection is also possible. ○ Compliant with FDA 21 CFR Part 11.

Applications/Examples of results
Quality Control and Safety Inspection for Microbial Contamination ○ Bio-burden Testing → CFU (Colony Forming Units) can be calculated in just a few hours. Supports quick identification of causes and appropriate corrective actions when microbial contamination outside specifications or abnormal trends are detected. ○ Industrial Water Testing → Detectable from just 1 CFU per 100mL water sample. Accurately monitors the presence of microorganisms in industrial water. ○ Food and Beverage Testing → By placing the inspection system close to critical control points (CCP) in the production area, it accurately monitors microbial loads in the most critical locations. ○ Cell Culture → Accurately detects contamination in mammalian cell cultures, supporting optimal biopharmaceutical manufacturing. ○ Environmental Monitoring → Minimizes equipment downtime associated with identifying contamination sources in the manufacturing environment, enabling faster production resumption.

The "IntuGrow Rapid Microbial Testing System" provided by IntuBio significantly changes conventional wisdom while reproducing traditional culture methods. Its greatest strength lies in its unique rapid microbial monitoring (RMM) that utilizes advanced optical scanning technology, allowing results that previously took several days to be obtained in "just a few hours." Additionally, this imaging method does not require complicated sample preprocessing and enables label-free testing. Through this rapid analysis technology, IntuBio brings innovation to the world of microbial monitoring.

IntuGrow provides measurement results of "CFU (Colony Forming Units)" at an unprecedented speed, just like traditional methods. With a highly sensitive proliferation detection system, it accurately captures the early stages of microbial growth that are not visible to the naked eye through its unique imaging technology. Furthermore, it adopts a highly versatile design, flexibly accommodating the analysis of all types of samples, from active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) to products containing complex components, water quality, and swab tests. - Presents results in standard "CFU" rather than a proprietary metric - Fully automated colony counting - Continuous proliferation monitoring in real-time Essential for the early detection of colony formation is IntuBio's optical scanning technology, which provides high-resolution image processing. While colonies visible to the naked eye are typically 300 µm or larger, this technology allows for the quantification (counting) of colonies at a mere 10 µm in diameter. It identifies and quantifies colonies with extremely high precision, accompanied by an intuitively understandable continuous data display.

Correlation with traditional methods is essential for validating alternative methods. By using IntuGrow, it is possible to easily achieve a recovery rate of over 70% across a wide range of concentrations.

IntuGrow Filtration Solution With high-precision filtration technology, it detects even the slightest microorganisms without missing any. It accommodates a variety of sample volumes and enables accurate quantification (counting) of microorganisms down to an extremely low level of 1 CFU/vol. ○ Analyzes sample volumes from 1 to 100 mL, detecting from a minimum of 1 CFU/vol ○ Minimizes direct contact with the unit, reducing the risk of contamination ○ Easy handling of filters, eliminating the need for tweezers ○ Sterilizable units shorten working time and simplify sample pretreatment ○ Sterilizable and reusable units specifically designed for IntuGrow filters ○ Individually packaged, sterilized single-use (disposable) filters with a pore size of 0.45 µm
