"MAK. Doro," a dust suppression material for runways equipped with durability and weather resistance, achieves a strong film that lasts for three months.
"MAK. Doro," a dust suppression material suitable for construction roads developed by Kajima Corporation. This material not only has high durability against wheel loads required for use on roads but also possesses weather resistance against ultraviolet rays, rainfall, and strong winds. Recently, a verification test was conducted in actual construction, confirming that the dust suppression effect lasts for three months. Through the widespread adoption of this material, we aim to reduce dust generated during the operation of construction vehicles and contribute to the preservation of the surrounding environment.

basic information
【Features】 - By forming a thick film of approximately 20mm, durability is enhanced, and it has been confirmed through indoor testing that the dust suppression effect persists even if the surface peels off due to the passage of construction vehicles. - Excellent weather resistance against ultraviolet rays, rainfall, and strong winds has been confirmed. - The impact on aquatic organisms in the surrounding area has been confirmed to be highly safe through acute toxicity tests on fish (in accordance with OECD and JIS K 0102:2016). - High durability and dust suppression effects have been confirmed through wheel load tests (Pavement Survey and Testing Method Handbook A003).

Applications/Examples of results
In the adjustment pond construction project (Asaka City, Saitama Prefecture), a demonstration test of this material was conducted, and its effectiveness was confirmed. Duration: February to May 2025 (3 months) Location: RC-40 crushed stone runway Method: A digital dust meter was installed at a height of 100 cm above ground near the spraying area (15m x 7m). Dust concentration was measured 12 times during the passage of a 4-ton dump truck at 1 month, 2 months, and 3 months after spraying (the dust suppression effect of MAK. Doro was judged based on a standard of less than 0.6 mg/m3, which is the threshold for discomfort related to dust from construction machinery). *This value indicates an increase in local residents reporting discomfort and health concerns. Results: Dust dispersion exceeding the standard was observed in the sprayed area, but no exceedance of the standard was recorded in the sprayed area, confirming the high dust suppression effect and excellent durability of MAK. Doro.
