An Intelligent PDU refers to a Power Distribution Unit (PDU) that supplies power to servers (computers) housed in server racks. In a standard PDU (basic), measuring power, monitoring the environment, and controlling outlets (turning them on and off) require manual intervention, which can be very labor-intensive when dealing with a large number of units. In the case of an Intelligent PDU, it is equipped with features that allow for monitoring displays on the PDU itself, as well as remote measurement and control (from distant locations), which helps reduce costs.
