Boundary Layer Wind Tunnel for Architectural Testing
A wind tunnel with boundary layer generator for use by the construction industry
A boundary layer wind tunnel is a wind tunnel designed to artificially recreate the wind near the ground (atmospheric boundary layer). Regular wind tunnels produce a "clean wind" with uniform airflow and minimal turbulence. In contrast, a boundary layer wind tunnel replicates the characteristics of actual outdoor wind, such as: - Wind speed decreases closer to the ground - Wind speed increases with height - Sudden changes in local wind direction and speed (turbulence).
