Measurement of groundwater using pressure sensors and remote data transmission.
Keller's water level gauge plays an important role in monitoring groundwater and surface water in the Netherlands!
In the Netherlands, rivers, canals, and lakes account for about 11% of the land, and due to the prevalence of low-lying areas below sea level, continuous management of groundwater and surface water is essential. As a result, groundwater levels are monitored through numerous observation wells installed nationwide. Acoustic level gauges were once the mainstream, but now electronic level gauges equipped with KELLER's proprietary piezoresistive pressure sensors are widely used. These gauges utilize the principle of measuring pressure and converting it to water depth, achieving high-precision water level measurements. Furthermore, water level data loggers like the DCX-22AA automatically record water levels and temperatures, providing high reliability through barometric pressure correction features. In recent years, these systems have evolved into remote monitoring systems that combine communication modules and cloud technology, enabling data visualization, alarm notifications, and automated data utilization. Currently, thousands of KELLER systems support groundwater and surface water monitoring in the Netherlands.
