Control at the picoliter scale and easily transfer single cells and microparticles.
The "Micro Pick and Place System" is a device that allows for the easy suction (pick) of microscopic targets, such as cells, one by one while observing them under a microscope, and then the ejection and placement (place) of each target at a different location. It is based on the PicoPipet, which incorporates a small pump driven by "electroosmotic flow" in the pipette section, enabling anyone to intuitively operate it without requiring expertise, allowing for the suction, retention, and ejection of ultra-small amounts of liquid (in the picoliter scale). - Individual suction (pick) of microscopic targets, such as cells, and ejection placement (place) at another location - Utilizes the PicoPipet with a small pump driven by electroosmotic flow in the pipette section - Manual operation while observing under a microscope - Intuitive operation that does not require expertise ■ PicoPipet - Smooth suction, retention, and ejection possible with simple dial operation - Flow rate range: 1 nL - 10 μL/min - Replaceable glass capillary can be attached to the tip of the pipette section - The pipette section can be attached to a micromanipulator for operation ■ Compass - Simple optical system - Allows for high-contrast three-dimensional observation of transparent objects like cells.
