We would like to introduce an example of our efforts to utilize the precision machining know-how we have cultivated so far in the development of components for surgical medical needles. The components of surgical medical needles require high precision and stability in quality. For parts involving fine machining, it has been a challenge to suppress variations in the manufacturing process and consistently supply products of uniform quality. We are applying our unique precision machining technology, developed over 70 years of manufacturing fishing hooks, to the medical field. By leveraging the know-how in shape accuracy, machining quality, and quality control that we have pursued in fishing hook production, we are working on the development of medical needle components that can be supplied with stable quality.
