The HD-1620 is a multi-parameter handheld real-time respiratory area monitor designed for firefighters, first responders, and industrial hygiene professionals. It offers flexible operation with options for handheld use, hand strap, belt mounting, and tripod installation, and features a large "Go/No Go" button for rapid deployment in the field. It measures mass concentrations of PM-TSP, PM10, PM5.0, PM4.0, PM2.5, and PM1.0, as well as particle count at selected particle sizes, temperature, humidity, atmospheric pressure, and GPS, all displayed and recorded simultaneously. The large color display provides high visibility and presents the US EPA AQI for PM2.5 in color-coded format. It also supports real-time graphs, STEL and Ceiling alarms, TWA, Min/Max statistics, and data can be viewed through software or exported as CSV. Users are encouraged to perform optical cleaning and filter replacement themselves, with automatic notifications for maintenance timing. The sensor has a lifespan of 10 years, allowing for immediate assessment of health risks on-site, aiding in the selection of N95 masks and SCBA, ventilation measures, and decisions regarding evacuation and re-entry for safety management.
