24-hour monitoring of hydrogen sulfide in wastewater treatment facilities / abnormal detection and email notifications, etc.
SMART-Gasken
Early detection of abnormalities in wastewater treatment equipment through the rise in hydrogen sulfide concentration. Supports 24/7 monitoring, email notifications, warning lights, and chemical dosing pump integration.
It is a constant monitoring system that continuously monitors the hydrogen sulfide concentration in drainage channels, adjustment tanks, aeration tanks, sludge tanks, etc., for 24 hours, allowing for early detection of abnormal signs in wastewater treatment facilities. When the treatment conditions worsen due to increased inflow load, insufficient aeration, pH fluctuations, or sludge retention, the hydrogen sulfide concentration may rise. "SMART-Gasken" sends out alarm emails to relevant parties when set values are exceeded and activates warning lights and buzzers on-site. It also supports integration with dosing pumps, aeration blowers, ventilation fans, etc., through PLCs and control panels. Concentration trends and alarm histories can be checked on the cloud, assisting with nighttime and holiday monitoring, odor control, ensuring worker safety, preventing equipment corrosion, and verifying the effectiveness of chemical dosing. It can be implemented in wastewater treatment facilities across a wide range of manufacturing industries, including food, beverages, paper, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and metal processing.

basic information
The measurement values from the fixed hydrogen sulfide detection unit are imported into "SMART-Gasken" and sent to the cloud using mobile communication. The number of detection points is standard at 4 points, with a maximum of 24 points. The current values, graphs, alarm status, and alarm history can be checked on a 4.3-inch TFT color LCD touch panel. If the set alarm value is exceeded, alarms are triggered through screen display, email notifications, warning lights, and buzzers. It utilizes a DC24V voltage contact output, allowing integration with dosing pumps, aeration devices, ventilation equipment, etc., via PLC or control panels. The protection structure is IP65, the power supply is AC100V, and the operating temperature range is 0 to 50°C. The external dimensions are approximately 391×309×172mm, and the weight is about 5.6kg. Depending on the conditions of the wastewater treatment facility, the detection unit, alarm values, notification recipients, equipment integration, and control logic are individually designed.

Applications/Examples of results
◇Target Industries • Beverages and Alcohol • Food • Dairy Products • Meat • Seafood • Seasonings and Fermented Foods • Pulp and Paper • Chemicals and Petrochemicals • Pharmaceuticals • Surface Treatment • Metal Processing • Automotive Parts • Semiconductors and Electronic Components • Waste Treatment • Sewage and Sludge Treatment • Biomass and Methane Fermentation ◇Expected Effects from Implementation • Early Detection of Wastewater Treatment Abnormalities • Identifying abnormal signs from rising hydrogen sulfide concentrations before personnel notice changes in odor or treated water. • Reduction of Initial Response Time • Automating notifications to stakeholders, activation of warning lights, and equipment control from abnormal detection to minimize response delays. • Reduction of Odor Complaint Risks • Early detection of deteriorating conditions in wastewater and sludge tanks, supporting actions before foul odors spread outside the factory. • Improvement of Worker Safety • Workers can assess hydrogen sulfide concentrations before approaching the wastewater tank area, preventing unintentional exposure to high-concentration environments. • Prevention of Equipment Corrosion • Early identification of corrosion risks to control panels, piping, electrical equipment, and buildings due to hydrogen sulfide. • Efficiency of Inspection Operations • While it does not completely eliminate the need for routine inspections, remote monitoring supports optimization of inspection frequency and emergency calls.
