A laser marker that prints a unique substrate ID that serves as the starting point for PLM/PDM.
LMS-K500ML (Inline CO2 Laser Marker / Supports Board Unique ID Assignment with PLM and PDM Integration)
The starting point for managing data of electronic and electrical products is the laser printing of unique IDs on the circuit board. Serial numbers, dates, and manufacturing lines are printed using text or two-dimensional codes.
Even if product data is centrally managed with PLM/PDM, a unique ID for each board is necessary to connect that information to the on-site circuit boards. The LMS-K500ML is an inline CO2 laser marker that directly prints a unique ID (2D code and text) on the circuit boards at the very beginning of the SMT assembly line, serving as the starting point for product lifecycle management. 【Usage Scenarios】 - Assigning a unique ID to each circuit board as the starting point for product lifecycle management - Identifying each stage of design, manufacturing, and maintenance with the same unique ID - Building a foundation for traceability that connects the PLM/PDM system with the circuit boards 【Benefits of Implementation】 - It becomes easier to link drawings and parts lists with the on-site circuit boards through unique IDs - Design changes and lot information can be easily traced back to the relevant circuit boards - After printing, the 2D code is read and verified, preventing unidentified circuit boards from moving to the next process.
