One month since the Kumamoto earthquake. Does the safety confirmation and disaster prevention training really work?
In 2026, marking the 10th anniversary of the Kumamoto earthquake of Heisei 28, the Kumamoto earthquake of Reiwa 8 occurred around 16:27 on July 28. This earthquake, which recorded a maximum seismic intensity of 7, raised the question for many companies: "If an earthquake of the same magnitude occurs during business hours, can our company respond?" Therefore, the theme for Disaster Prevention Day 2026 will consist of two parts: the first part will reflect on this earthquake with insights from specialized staff at the Rescue Now Crisis Management Information Center, and the second part will introduce the importance of reviewing safety confirmation and disaster prevention training. We hope this will serve as a reference for reviewing information collection systems in disaster response and internal company responses. 【Event Overview】 ■ Date and Time: September 9, 2026 (Wednesday) 14:00 - 15:30 ■ Online event (Zoom) ■ Capacity: 500 participants ■ Participation fee: Free *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.
