<1> Install a measurement hole approximately 150 cm (5 times the diameter of the connection port) from the connection port of the vinyl duct connected to the dust collection and exhaust device. Consider the exhaust air velocity and capture the exhaust in the duct directly or through conductive silicone tubing, then connect a particle counter. The intake side should be installed about 25 cm away from the center of the HEPA filter surface. <2> Measure the number of dust particles of 0.3 μm for one minute using the particle counter on the intake side of the dust collection and exhaust device. Operate the dust collection and exhaust device and measure the number of dust particles of 0.3 μm for one minute using the particle counter on the exhaust side. Perform five measurements, calculate the average for each, and determine the collection efficiency for 0.3 μm using the following formula: Collection efficiency of the dust collection and exhaust device (%) = (Intake side count - Exhaust side count / Intake side count) × 100. <3> If the collection efficiency value falls below the HEPA filter's collection efficiency of 99.97%, recheck the records of the leakage test for the main unit and confirm that the installation of the HEPA filter has been properly completed. <4> When measuring with a single particle counter, promptly measure the exhaust side after measuring the intake side to determine the collection efficiency.
