Can be added to existing trailers. A dedicated backup sonar that supports detaching the cargo area covers blind spots of the connected vehicle and prevents backing accidents.
The "trailer back sonar" provided by Hachiyou Densou is a solution that addresses the "blind spots" of vehicles, which are a challenge in the logistics industry, contributing to accident prevention and safety measures. It has been developed in collaboration with major commercial vehicle manufacturers to set detection ranges that meet on-site needs. The biggest feature is its compatibility with the unique "detachable operation of the cargo area" specific to trailers. By adopting waterproof connectors, it allows for the connection and disconnection of the harness between the main unit and the sonar sensor. This enables the connection and disconnection of the sonar system between the tractor and trailer, ensuring safety for coupled vehicles, which was difficult with traditional wired sensors, and allows for retrofitting to existing operational vehicles. The ultrasonic sensor elements are designed and developed by a domestic manufacturer that boasts a 60% share of the global market (manufactured at its overseas factory), providing high durability and precision as strengths. The track record extends beyond trailers to major logistics companies, including those overseas, as well as city buses, sightseeing buses, camper vans, fire trucks, packer trucks, and other special vehicles, encompassing all commercial vehicles, with a cumulative installation count of over 20,000 units. It is a practical product that meets the safety needs of the field.

Founded 91 years ago as "Yashima Automobile Parts Trading Company," our company originated from the automotive parts division of Yashima Motor Co., which was the general importer of Chrysler vehicles in 1926. Over the years, we evolved from supplying repair parts to directly providing mass-produced components to automobile manufacturers, in line with the pre-war and post-war trends of domestic automobile production. At the time of our establishment, the Toranomon area was referred to as Japan's Detroit, yet there were almost no domestic vehicles present, and we had been engaged in automotive-related business even before the domestic production of automobiles began. Today, we have transformed and grown into a technical trading company that directly supplies and sells mass-produced parts to major automobile manufacturers and construction machinery manufacturers. We support the development departments of manufacturers with technical proposals and assist the procurement departments with global parts sourcing, providing mass production solutions for a wide range of products, from resin molded products, semiconductors, electronic components, and sensors to inverters and onboard motors that make up electric vehicles. Notably, the next-generation onboard electrification components have significantly increased, with mass production sales reaching an annual scale of 6 billion yen.
