3D measurement station to fill in the measurement process that was omitted due to AMR implementation.
As the introduction of transport robots (AMR/AGV) progresses, there are cases where the measurement functions that were incorporated into traditional conveyor lines are falling by the wayside. While transport has been automated, people still need to intervene with measuring tapes for measurement. The flow of automation is interrupted only at the measurement process. Our "3D Measurement System" can be installed directly on the route of the AMR due to its configuration that does not require a conveyor. Measurement automatically begins upon receiving a stop signal from the AMR, allowing external dimensions to be obtained in just a few seconds without unloading the cargo. After completion, it instructs the AMR to move to the next process and sends the measurement data and status back to the upper system. This configuration allows the entire process from transport to measurement and handover to the next process to be completed without human intervention. We demonstrated a series of operations at the exhibition. Please watch the related video. 【Usage Scenarios】 - Incorporating measurement processes into AMR transport lines - Obtaining cargo data on routes where conveyors have been removed - Unmanned operation from transport to measurement and movement to the next process - Automatic collection of cargo data in collaboration with upper systems 【Benefits of Implementation】 - Preventing the flow of transport automation from stopping at the measurement process - No need for new conveyor installations, allowing for implementation with existing layouts - Reducing measurement errors and work burden by minimizing human intervention
