"Arc Box" Solar DC Connector Fire Spread Prevention Product
ArcBox DC Connector Flame-Retardant Enclosure ArcBox
A closure that contains the arc generated at the DC connector connection of solar power generation and prevents the spread of fire to surrounding combustible materials.
With the spread of solar power generation, "fire and ignition troubles from DC connectors" caused by aging degradation and connection failures during installation have become a serious issue. ArcBox is designed to reliably prevent the spread of fire to the surroundings in the event of abnormal heat generation or arc discharge (sparks), ensuring the safety of various PV systems from mega-solar to residential installations. This product is installed on the connectors of new and existing DC 1500V cables, containing heat and flames generated from the connectors to prevent fire spread. 【Key Features】 1. Simple and quick installation by just snapping onto the connector. 2. Installation can be done without touching the connector, allowing for work without power outages. 3. Compatible with various DC connectors (applicable to major connectors worldwide, including Stäubli's MC4). 4. Proven through rigorous fire resistance testing by globally trusted institutions (no fire spread to the surroundings after 5 minutes of arc discharge). 5. Manufactured by a major solar module manufacturer in the UK (Viridian Solar). 6. Can be installed in various locations such as homes, warehouses, schools, hospitals, outdoor panels, and mega-solar installations.
