The NY50A series (NY52A / NY53A) and MNY50A series (MNY53A) are fully electromagnetic circuit breakers for wiring rated at 50AF.
NY50A Series (General Wiring Protection) This is a 50AF circuit breaker for wiring that protects medium-capacity trunk lines and branch circuits in distribution boards and control panels, as well as various power supply devices (2-pole: NY52A, 3-pole: NY53A). Unlike typical thermal-magnetic types, it employs a fully electromagnetic design using an oil dashpot, allowing it to exhibit trip characteristics as designed even in harsh temperature environments, such as sealed panels during summer or areas with concentrated heat-generating equipment. It eliminates concerns about false tripping in large current loads (such as heater panels, large-capacity switching power supplies, and distribution trunk lines) where the 30AF may be insufficient, thereby establishing a robust power infrastructure. MNY50A Series (Motor Protection Compatible) This is a 50AF motor breaker designed for large-capacity three-phase induction motors, such as blowers, high-pressure pumps, and large compressors (3-pole: MNY53A). It features a large inrush current delay characteristic that allows for inrush currents several times the rated current during motor startup, thoroughly preventing malfunctions at startup. In the event of overload, binding, or short-circuit accidents, it quickly disconnects the circuit. Being fully electromagnetic, it allows for immediate re-engagement without waiting for a cooling period after tripping, minimizing downtime for factory production lines and critical equipment.
