[Case Study of Wi-Fi Implementation in Welfare Facilities] Social Welfare Corporation Marimokai Kiyose Kibouen
A sense of security in the good sense of "nothing" - a stable network for care facilities supported by cloud management.
The welfare facility "Kiyose Kibouen" in Kiyose City, Tokyo, implemented a complete wireless LAN throughout the building using D-Link's cloud-managed network equipment as part of a full building reconstruction. With a single-vendor configuration consisting of the UTM firewall "DBG-2000," L2 smart switches from the "DBS-2000 series," and 41 Wi-Fi 6 compatible wireless access points "DBA-X1230P," the network supports the work of staff, the lives of users, and spaces open to local residents all on one network. By combining remote maintenance through the cloud management service "Nuclias Cloud" with paid on-site support from the manufacturer, stable operations were achieved without the need for a dedicated network administrator. We spoke with the person in charge about the background of the implementation and the actual operations. 【POINT】 1. Stable operation of the entire building's wireless LAN without a dedicated network administrator. 2. Minimization of operational effort through cloud remote maintenance and rapid on-site support. 3. Supporting operations, users, and community access on a single network.
