At the technology development research institute of a major domestic special steel manufacturer, the electromagnetic field analysis software "JMAG" is being highly utilized in the design of magnetic materials and the development of electromagnetic devices such as motors and actuators. In particular, in the research and development of motor materials for electric vehicles (EVs) and magnetic materials for high-efficiency motors, detailed simulations of magnetic field distribution and electromagnetic characteristics are crucial, necessitating a high-performance analysis environment. To accommodate large-scale analysis and high-speed calculations with JMAG, a workstation equipped with a Core Ultra 9 285 processor, 128GB of memory, and a GeForce RTX 5090 (VRAM 32GB) has been introduced. This setup is being used to enhance the efficiency of structural optimization and design verification through magnetic field analysis in the development of high-speed, compact linear actuators using a movable magnet system.
