A shock detection tool for medical devices that has demonstrated performance after radiation sterilization.
Shock Eye MEDi is a shock detection tool for medical devices that supports the packaging quality and maintenance of sterility of sterilized medical equipment. By simply attaching it to the shipping box, it visualizes drops and impacts that occur during transportation and storage through color changes. This prompts handlers to be cautious and contributes to the prevention of quality incidents caused by damage to sterilization bags or seal failures. It detects shocks from all directions (360°) and allows for the selection of three sensitivity levels (60–100G) based on product weight and packaging characteristics. Furthermore, it has been confirmed that shock detection performance, visibility, and adhesive properties are maintained even after gamma irradiation of 25–100kGy, making it suitable for the logistics of medical devices undergoing radiation sterilization. It supports the transportation quality management of packaging systems based on ISO 11607.
