The manufacturing of lithium-ion batteries is divided into three processes: "front-end (electrode manufacturing)," "middle-end (cell assembly)," and "back-end (formation and inspection)." In the front-end process, a slurry made by mixing active materials and solvents is coated onto metal foil with high precision and then compressed and dried using a roll press machine. In the middle-end process, after precise cutting, the materials are stacked and rolled up, then sealed in aluminum film and filled with electrolyte. In the back-end process, the batteries undergo initial charging and aging tests before being shipped. In such gigafactories, clean transportation that thoroughly eliminates dust and moisture is required. Our "lightweight autonomous robot direct drive in-wheel motor" is used as the mobility system for thin autonomous transport robots operating within such battery factories and logistics.
