Automatic measurement by simply placing incoming items of different shapes and sizes on the measurement table. The ToF sensor simultaneously captures the dimensions of the three sides, while the RGB camera captures the image of the package, reducing the effort of receiving and registering dimensions. Different sizes for each item: Measuring each incoming item individually with a tape measure takes a lot of time during the receiving process. New items not registered in the dimension master: Every time a new item with unknown dimensions arrives, measurement and registration tasks arise. Variability in measurement values and transcription errors: Measurement discrepancies and manual input errors by staff lead to unstable accuracy of dimension data. Cannot utilize for storage and shipping planning: Without accurate dimensions, it becomes difficult to allocate locations and determine shipping sizes. Condition at the time of arrival is not recorded: Since the package appearance is not captured in an image, it is not possible to verify the appearance or any damage at the time of arrival later, making it cumbersome to respond to inquiries.
