PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene / fluoropolymer) is a material that is resistant to almost all chemicals and has one of the lowest coefficients of friction among resins. Its continuous use temperature is about 260°C, and its water absorption rate is extremely low at 0.01%. It is used in seals, gaskets, low-load sliding parts, and insulating components. KIRIURI.COM offers pure PTFE "Naflon®" (manufactured by Nichias) sheets in 25 sizes (T1 to T75) without fillers. We accommodate cutting to the required dimensions and quantities. Applications/Examples of results
- Seal materials and packing around the liquid - Lining of pipes and containers - Low-load sliding parts (sliding plates, guides) - Electrical insulating components utilizing high-frequency characteristics - Transport components that dislike adhesion (non-stick components) [Note] It has low strength and rigidity, and continuous loading can lead to creep deformation. For sliding parts under load, please consider POM, and for high temperatures, PI (Vespel SP-21/SP-211). [Processing Caution] It is soft and easily deformed, so please be careful not to over-tighten the chucking. It has a large linear expansion, and dimensions may change after processing.
