Leveraging Operator Expertise for More Precise and Responsive X-Axis Infeed Control.
The IIG-HE series combines the fundamental mechanical structure and Size-Matic (indirect sizing) system of the YIG and IIG-H series with servo-controlled X-axis grinding wheelhead infeed. While retaining the conventional square-thread screw feed mechanism, the IIG-HE series uses servo control to precisely manage X-axis infeed and positioning. It enables fine infeed adjustments in φ0.001 mm increments, as well as numerical settings for travel distance and feed speed. During intermediate dressing, changes in grinding wheel diameter are automatically compensated for through X-axis positioning, eliminating the need to adjust the dresser position. The IIG-HE series preserves the fundamental process of conventional grinding, in which operators grind, measure, and make machining decisions based on their own judgment, while integrating numerical control for improved operability and automation. Ahead of the planned commercial launch at GTJ2027 in March 2027, we welcome inquiries from companies interested in collaborating with us to validate the machines under actual grinding conditions.
