The millimeter-wave sensor 'EM SENSE' utilizes the characteristic of penetrating millimeter-wave objects to perform inline measurement of the basis weight of non-woven fabric and felt, as well as the density of green sheets, in a non-contact and non-destructive manner. The time delay of the returning millimeter waves, which increases with the density of the material, is converted into density and basis weight outputs. The measurement results are fed back to the manufacturing equipment to reduce quality variation, improve yield, and lower costs. 【Features】 ○ No radiation used No need for a handling supervisor, usage permission application, or controlled area.
