Changing the backlight to LED and increasing brightness is a relatively easy issue to solve in small monitors under 20 inches due to the heat dissipation design associated with increased power consumption, but it becomes a significant problem in large monitors over 32 inches. At Disain, as a solution to improve visibility, we adopt enhancements to the optical properties of liquid crystal panels (Passive Enhancement) and high-brightness backlighting (Backlight Enhancement). The former utilizes bright ambient light and increases brightness by reflecting it within the liquid crystal through a special film, in addition to improving the optical properties of the protective glass surface with AR coating to achieve overall visibility enhancement. On the other hand, the latter method maintains visibility by providing high brightness that does not get overwhelmed by bright ambient light, such as having over 1000 cd/m², which is four times the normal brightness. Simply increasing the monitor brightness usually results in white-out phenomena, making it impossible to display clear images. At Disain, we tune contrast and color to reproduce high-brightness and sharp images.
