According to the Scott method, we conduct rubbing tests on textiles, rubber, plastic sheets, and other materials.
- The Scott-type method is used to conduct abrasion tests on textiles, rubber, plastic sheets, etc. using a Scott-type testing machine. - The loading method is spring-based. - The test specimen is fixed in two chucks spaced at a specified distance, and while applying a constant pressing load from one side of the chuck, it is subjected to reciprocating friction at a speed of 120±2 times per minute over a specified distance. - The number of times the width of the test specimen is reduced by 10 to 15 mm is measured and evaluated as abrasion resistance. <Reference Standards> JIS-K6404-6, (K6404-6), L1096, JASO 【About Catalog Download】 Please request the catalog from the related links below or by contacting us. *For products without individual catalogs, please request the comprehensive catalog.
