"EPC Code Reading Enabled RFID Tester" Peritec's RFID test system processes the IF band using an FPGA board (IF-RIO). This is necessary because RFID tags compliant with ISO18000-6 TYPE C (EPC C1 G2) require reading of a code known as the EPC (Electronic Product Code). However, conventional measuring instruments were unable to keep up with the processing demands. This is because reading the EPC requires sending multiple commands in response to received data from the tag within a few milliseconds, necessitating real-time communication between the tag and the generator, as well as the analyzer, to fully implement this query sequence. To accommodate the processing up to the EPC, Peritec's RFID test system utilizes the FPGA board (IF-RIO) for IF band processing. This enables uninterrupted communication with the tag, allowing for the reading of the EPC code.
