By analyzing ultrasonic echoes using PSD signal processing technology with a unique mechanism, ultrasonic depth measuring devices, which were previously weak against turbidity, have become usable in the field of marine civil engineering, where turbidity often occurs, such as in dredging operations. By utilizing PSD control processing technology to operate with high-speed digital control, which is different from conventional analog depth measuring operations, it has become possible to achieve flexible and high-speed depth measurement that far exceeds traditional methods. 【Features】 ◯ It can quickly measure depth in between dredging operations (avoiding the club), so there is no need to interrupt work for depth measurement, allowing depth measurement to be completed almost simultaneously with the end of the work. ◯ A unique processing method has been developed and adopted to minimize the effects of turbidity from seawater due to construction, bubbles, and soil clumps, making it resistant to turbidity and significantly expanding its range of use. ◯ The system employs a method where a sonar head is attached to the tip of an arm installed on the ship, and the arm is lowered for use during depth measurement, allowing measurements to be taken even with a pollution prevention curtain in place for environmental protection. ◯ This system is an intelligent system with a built-in microcomputer.
