EC-Master is an EtherCAT master stack product designed for embedded systems, specifically built to run on various embedded operating systems, particularly real-time operating systems. There are already products available that can operate on VxWorks, QNX, Windows CE, On Time RTOS-32, and Windows XP. For evaluation purposes, it can be run on the Windows XP version, so while it does not have real-time capabilities, it allows for easy use of the EtherCAT protocol on a standard PC with Windows XP installed. The structure is designed to facilitate easy porting to various operating systems that customers wish to use (source code can be provided).
